The views from the cottage were absolutely stunning, overlooking the Sound of Mull and even catching a glimpse of the Lismore island lighthouse. The location was perfect, convenient for the ferry terminal, local attractions, and village facilities. The cottage's garden was a delightful surprise, small but beautifully wild with a seating area for outdoor dining. Plus, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
The decor of the cottage felt a bit dated and in need of updating. the bathroom could use some improvements, such as updated flooring and a faster-filling toilet cistern.

The friendly and helpful reception staff made us feel welcome after a long day of traveling. the short journey from the ferry to the property was a great convenience. the incredible view from the window and the abundance of walks and places to explore near the property were highlights for us.
Felt like being home, no reason to complain.

The location was great, with fantastic views of the surrounding area. The proximity to the ferry terminal made it convenient for transportation. the site appeared to be well-maintained and clean.
The mattresses were very uncomfortable, leading to a lack of sleep for both myself and my partner. The cottage itself was outdated and in need of renovation.

The location of the accommodation was fantastic, being just a short walk from the ferry terminal. the views from the cottage were stunning, with a lovely seating area where we could enjoy the sunset with a few drinks. We also appreciated the self-catering facilities, as it allowed us to have a comfortable and convenient stay.
The cottage was a bit small and outdated, and could benefit from some refurbishment. the twin bedroom was particularly shabby, and the curtains were not hung properly.

The location of Shieling Holidays Mull is stunning, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. the cottages are visible from the ferry, making for an impressive arrival. the cottage we stayed in, Cruachan, was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. the proximity to Craignure golf course was a bonus, as we could easily try to spot white-tailed sea eagles there.
Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Amazing views and fantastic location for exploring the island. Beds were comfortable and the cottage was clean and homely. Free parking was a bonus.
Check-in times could have been clearer and communication could have been better. Not much to do in the immediate area and had to drive to find more options for dining out.

It had everything we needed for a self-catering stay, with a well-equipped kitchen. The location was fantastic, making it easy for us to explore Mull and conveniently close to the ferry. The central heating kept us comfortable, and the beds provided a good night's sleep. The shower was warm and refreshing. We were also grateful for the provided towels and tea/coffee supplies.
our stay at Shieling Holidays Mull in Craignure was a pleasant one. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the small TV and lack of sturdy outdoor furniture, they didn't significantly impact our enjoyment.

I recently stayed at the charming self-catering cottage at Shieling Holidays Mull. My stay was for 2 nights and was primarily for work purposes. The location couldn't have been more perfect, just a quick 2-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Despite the cottage being small and basic, it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking view overlooking the Sound of Mull, with sights of the lighthouse on Lismore island and even Ben Nevis in the distance. The cottage itself was warm, spotlessly clean, and had all the necessary amenities such as towels and tea/coffee supplies. Additionally, the new bathroom furnishings, comfortable bed, and excellent heating system made for a cozy and pleasant stay.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
